Peggie Jones

Peggie Sue Jones, 88, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012.Mrs Jones was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and founding member of the Friendship Class. She was a 1941 graduate of Central High School and an active member of the Blue Jackets Club.Mrs. Jones was an avid antiques collector, watercolor artist, and loved to cook for her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Nina Sparks; and brother, Benjamin M. Sparks Jr.She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Elder Jones, Chattanooga; children, Tina Hitt and husband, Ed, Bristol, Va., Elder G. Jones, Cashiers, N.C., Jill Hill and husband, Kent, Cashiers, N.C., Nina Chapin and husband, Garnet, Chattanooga; brother, Marcus N. Sparks, Flintstone, Ga.; three grandchildren, Sara Beth Hitt Versteegen and husband, Kris, Preston Wolfe, Brandon Wolfe; one great-grandchild, Mayne Versteegen; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Brainerd United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Flaugher and Rev.
