Lillian Ann Baskette Carter, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012.She attended East Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of the Chapel Sunday School Class. Mrs. Carter was retired from Dupont where she worked as a technician. She was a member of the Chattanooga Dalia Club.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Baskette and Martin A. Carter; and nine siblings.Survivors include her son Edward "Ted" Baskette and his wife, Mary, of Webster, Fla.; five grandchildren, Cherie Hurst, of East Ridge, David Baskette, of Rossville, Christopher Baskette, of Ocoee, Tenn., James Tucker, of Gary, Ind., and Amy Napper, of Plant City, Fla.; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Zorn of Red Bank; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
