Kenneth Newsom

, Sr.Kenneth Lee Newsom, Sr., 57, of Harrison passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012. He had lived most of his life in the Chattanooga area. He was retired from Wheland Foundry, currently employed at Motor Wheel. He was an avid muscle car enthusiast.Ken was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Lee Newsom.Survivors are two sons, Kenny Newsom II, of Ringgold and Chris (Gina) Newsom, of Rossville; his loving partner, Doris Johnson, of Harrison; mother, Annie P. Lee, of Red Bank; six grandchildren, Christopher, Kailee, Ethan, Jacob, Ivy and Alona; two brothers Randy (Kim) Newsom, of Chattanooga and Buddy (Lee) Gilmore, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Phala (Myron) Richardson, of Soddy Daisy and Pamela Martin, of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Ken was a loving person and thoughtful and caring of others.The family will receive friends from 3 until 8 p.m. today at the North Chapel.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Brandon officiating.
