Joseph Zvanut

PEARLAND, Texas Joseph Martin Zvanut, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012.Joe was born in St. Louis, Mo., to Frank and Margret Zvanut. He served in WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, active member of St. Helen Catholic Church, 4th degree member of the K of C and served as Grand Knight of the local chapter. Joe was the Scout Master for 11 years for Troop #172. Joe enjoyed golfing and fishing, and socializing with his neighbors, Kathy and Lowell.He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Margret.Joe is survived by his children, Joseph Jr. and Donna Zvanut, of Charlotte, William and Wanda Zvanut, of Atlanta, Robert and Julie Zvanut, of Cypress; and Mary and Wesley Matthews, of Pearland; as well as seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Friends are cordially invited to the visitation today, Aug. 15, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. with the Vigil and Rosary to begin at 7 p.m. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546, 281- 992-7200.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX 77581 with Msgr. Reginald R.
