William Randolph Bryan, 70, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at home. He was born Jan. 16, 1942 in Geneva County, Ala. He grew up in Phenix City, Ala., where he achieved Eagle Scout rank. Bill earned a Juris Doctor degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law Atlanta. He had a career in banking and Real Estate with the Jordan and Gunby Companies, Columbus, Phenix Federal Savings and Loan, Commercial Bank, Douglasville, Southeast Federal Savings and Loan, Rossville, and Dupont Community Credit Union, Chattanooga. After retirement he worked part-time with Long Pontiac and Target Corporation.Survivors include his mother, Martha Merritt Bryan, Phenix City; his wife of 38 years, Nancy Patterson Bryan; sons William Gunby Bryan, Cartersville, Nathan Patterson Bryan, Big Bear, Calif., William Randolph Bryan Jr. (Coralee) Lookout Valley; daughter, Lauren Bryan (Cole) Costanzo, Chattanooga; grandchildren, William Randolph Bryan III, Hannah Adeline Bryan, Merritt Sinclaire Bryan, baby Costanzo (due October); and sister-in-law Nanci Bryan, Phenix City.Bill was preceded in death by his father, Hugh; and brother, Mike Bryan.A celebration of his life with family and friends will be held at his home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga (Pediatric Support), P.O.
