Frank Kelly

Jr.Frank Kelly Jr., 92, of Ooltewah passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at his home.He was born April 13, 1920 in Chattanooga to the late Grace and Frank Kelly.He was a member of First-Centenary United Methodist Church and the Free Masons Lodge #430. He was a 50 year member of the Alhambra Shrine Temple.Mr. Kelly was a World War II Veteran serving in Rostacht, Germany where he was a prisoner of war; he received the Purple Heart, the Victory Medal, two Bronze Stars, the ATO Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.He was a longtime farmer and builder and was former president of the Hamilton County Farm Bureau; a member of the City Farmers Club; and served on the Board of Directors of the Chattanooga Milk Producers.Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Janice Kelly; son, John Patrick (Suzanne) Kelly, of Ooltewah; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Medearis officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. today at the East Brainerd Chapel.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Southeast Tennessee Chapter, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga.
