Lamart Bolden

Lamart Danilo Bolden, 59, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at a local hospital.He was born on Feb. 11, 1953 in Decatur, Ala.Lamart was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Stewart; and brother, Frederick Gray.Lamart was a graduate of Franklin County High School in Winchester, Tenn. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a cab driver for Millennium Cab. Lamart was a former athlete and a sports enthusiast. He loved his family, gardening, fishing and a good banana pudding.His memories will continue to be cherished by his mother, Rubye Jackson; his love and dear friend, Betty "Cookie" Willis; brothers, Joseph, Jeffery (Valorie) Gray, James (Donna) Gray and Cle (Jennifer) Jackson; sisters, Jessica Gray, Phyllis Smith, Jamesetta Gray, Eugenia Jackson and Westeria (Derrick) Henry; uncles, RT (Arletra) Bolden, William Burt Smith and Joe Smith; aunts, Carolyn (Floyd) Taylor, Sandra (Bo) Thomas and Thelma Bolden; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 in the chapel.Interment in Ruth Cofer Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
