Martha Nabors

Martha Elizabeth "Moppy" Nabors, 69, a resident of East Ridge, passed away on Friday night, Aug. 24, 2012, in a Chattanooga health care facility.Martha, a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area was born on Jan. 31, 1943 a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Powell. Martha was of the Baptist faith and retired from the industrial maintenance department of East Ridge Hospital. She will be forever remembered for being a loving wife and mother.In addition to her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Jean Floyd.Martha leaves here to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 24 years William "Bill" Nabors; daughter Cynthia Jean Nabors; one sister Donna Jo Erwin (Terry), of Fort Oglethorpe; two brothers Larry Powell, of Chattanooga and Richard Hilary (Imogene) Powell, of Flat Rock, N.C.; and also numerous other extended family members and friends.The family is planning a private memorial service to be held at a later date.You are encouraged to share a memory of Martha and/or your personal condolences with her family by visiting her memorial web page and guest book at www.companionfunerals.com.Companion Funeral & Cremation Service of Cleveland Tennessee is honored to assist the Nabors family with these arrangements.
