Novella Kemp, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012.She was of the Baptist faith and had been a cashier and server at S&W Cafeteria. She was an avid bowler in the Senior League.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Ray Kemp and a son, Elmer Cross Jr.Survivors include her son, Donald (Pat) Cross, of Ringgold, Ga.; stepson, Mike (Vicki) Kemp, of Murray, Ky.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Collett of Harriman, Tenn., and Hoover Collett, of East Ridge; two sisters, Madgeline Davis, of Sunbright, TN and Patricia Collett, of Harriman; several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at noon Thursday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with the Rev. Ray Walker officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S.
