William Pelfrey

WADSWORTH, Ohio William C. "Bill" Pelfrey, 83, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.He was born on Jan. 17, 1929 in Fannin County, Ga., to the late Charlie and Della Pelfrey. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Babcock and Wilcox. He studied with the Jehovahs Witnesses and believed in the Resurrection.Bill was preceded in death by three sisters, Reathel Burgess, Margie Franklin and Christine Byram; and three brothers, Calvin and Joe Pelfrey and Warren Pack.Bill is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughters, Janie (Randy) Pettit, Karen Welday; sons, Keith (Cindy) Pelfrey, Kevin (Joy) Pelfrey and William (Rhonda Lees) Pelfrey Jr.; his grandchildren, Scott Killough, Brandon Welday, Amber Gaugler, Fonda Paschke, Lisa Brown and Mandi Hays; along with nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.Bill is also survived by his brothers, Gene, Kenneth and Doc Pelfrey; and sisters Lois Patterson, Frances Thomas, Loretta Hedden; and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, with Mr. Jack Sommers officiating.The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from noon-1 p.m.Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
