Hubert Burrel Hall, 88, a lifelong resident of Signal Mountain, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. He was a loving husband, father and pawpaw. He retired from 3M and was a member of Sawyer Missionary Baptist Church. Hubert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and served on the USS LST 660. He was preceded by his parents, Tom and Polly Hall; brothers, Thomas Hall, Jr., Fletcher Hall, Kelsey (Clinton) Hall; sisters, Alma Phipps and Millie Sloan.Survivors are: wife of 65 years, Magarette Hall; daughters, Marjorie (Fred) Moore, Patsy (Chuck) Brown, Sheila (Paul) Thomas, all of Signal Mountain, Peggy (Jim) Dowd of Pikeville; sons, Hubert (Melinda)Hall, Thomas (Brenda) Hall, and Henry Hall all of Signal Mountain; sister, Roberta Jones of Signal Mountain; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 4, in the Chapel with Reverend Larry Miller officiating. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. today and 1 hour before the service at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
