Bennie Roach

Bennie Jane (Wampler) died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at the age of 73 at Park Ridge East Hospital surrounded by loving family. Mrs. Roach was a native of Lenoir City, Tenn., and moved to Chattanooga in 1965. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Joe and Agnes Norris Wampler and brother Bobby Wampler.Mrs. Roach was a retired RN and member of the Asebi Court No. 36 of the Ladies Oriental Shrine. She was a lifelong member of Silverdale Baptist Church and was a Christian woman of strong faith. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends, but we are strengthened in the unmistakable truth that we will be reunited some day soon.She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Wayne Roach, originally from Rutledge, Tenn.; and children Jennifer JoAnn Roach, Dickson, Tenn., and Rodger Wayne Roach, Ashland City, Tenn. Mrs. Roach also leaves behind 4 precious grandchildren as well as 3 sisters, Newell Grimes, Violet Wilburn and Janet Clemmer; and 2 brothers, Harry Wampler and Riley Wampler, all from the Lenoir City/ Loudon/ Philadelphia area and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be in Fellowship Baptist Church today from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.The Rev. Billy R. Dean and the Rev. Edward Varner will conduct the service Saturday at 1 p.m. in the church.Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 5335 Clemons Road, East Ridge, TN 37412.Arrangements are by Covenant Funeral & Crematory, Crox family owned and operated, www.CovenantFuneral.com.
