LaFAYETTE Artie L. Baker, 82, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at his home.Preceded by wife, Mary R. Baker; parents, Robert and Luda Baker; sister, Dorothy Dunlap; brothers, Anderson Darnell Baker, Robert Baker, Jr.Survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Denise (Dennis), LaFayette, Gayla (Rickey) Skates, Cypress, Texas; sister, Glenna Thomas Bailey, Lafayette; three grandsons; one granddaughter; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral: Sunday, Dec. 9, at 4 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church. Service conducted by Pastor R.D. Wallin.Pallbearers are Rickey Skates, Dennis Lindsey, Daniel Skates, Damon Lindsey, Dale Lindsey, and Randy Johnson.Honorary pallbearers are Hattie Robinson, Harvey, Steve Reynolds, Roger Johnson, Cameron Lindsey, Tristan Lindsey, Blaze Lindsey, Stanley Brown, Charles Littlejohn, Marlin Littlejohn.Interment: Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the Church Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.In lieu of flowers, contributions are to be made to Corinth Baptist Church building fun.Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
