, Sr.,Clabon Fairbanks, Sr., 80, passed on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at his residence. He retired from Mueller Co. after 35 years of service and 25 years at Terry Keith Carpet. Preceding him in death are his parents, Price and Mattie Fairbanks, Sr.; wife, Lena Bernice Fairbanks; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.Survivors include daughters, Patrice Fairbanks, Angela Fairbanks Galloway, Chattanooga, Tenn.; sons Clabon Edward (Gloria) Fairbanks, III, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Clabon Fairbanks-Wallace, Jr. (Judy), Decatur, Ala.; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wendetta Shoulders, Rossville, Ga., Larry and Lynn Wade, Decatur, Ala.Service will be held Monday, Dec. 10, at 1:30 p.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul McDaniel officiating. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family visitation today 6 7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
