Velan Gross

Velan Gross, 83, died Thursday morning, Dec. 6, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Bryan and Blanch Gross; and sisters Eloise Harris and Marvagene Clark. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janice Gross; and children Delores Vinson, Joan Law (Ted), and Bryan Gross (Debbie); and grandchildren Laura Vinson, Sarah, Katie, and Thomas Law, and Rachel and Andrew Gross. He was an accountant at Dixie Yarns for 35 years and a member of Red Bank Presbyterian Church.Funeral services will be conducted today, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Reverends Everitt Gossett and Lee Peters officiating.Visitation will be held today from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery will follow at a later time.
