Stephen Harper

Stephen Lauren Harper, 56, life long resident of Chattanooga, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 surrounded by his wife and children.Steve was a 1975 graduate of Tyner High School and a paint contractor in Chattanoogafor 37 years. He enjoyed working and developed a very close relationship with his paint suppliers and customers over the years. He loved spending time with his brothers and sisters and family. His greatest joy was his children, grandchildren and wife of 37 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dora Jeannine Harper; brother, Glen Harper.He is survived by the love of his life and soul-mate, Vanessa Lea Harper; sons, Seth Harper, Casey Harper; daughters, Ryanne (Greg) Taylor, Haley Harper; step-mother, Jewel Harper; five sisters, Kathy (Garland) Touchstone, Teresa (Terry) Kelly, Connie (Ray) Rowland, Kelly Davenport, and Elaine Harper; five brothers, Roy (Charlotte) Harper, Robin (Sue) Harper, Danny (Cathy) Harper, Joe (Barbara) Harper and Trevor Harper; four grandchildren, Elijah Eaker, Hudson Harper, Maddox Trundle and Keylee Taylor; several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Garland Touchstone officiating.
