ROSSVILLE Columbus Patrick "Pat" Massengale, 74 , went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012.He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a member of Lighthouse of the Word for more than 41 years. He retired from Aramark Industries in 2003 after more than 34 years of service and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #397 F&AM. He was also a member of the Brainerd Tennis Nuts for more than 35 years and was an avid Tennessee Volunteers Football fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rose Bud Massengale; wife, Dorothy "Dot" Massengale; and brother, Jimmy Lee Massengale.Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and (Tammy) Massengale; six grandchildren, Kevin Thomas Massengale, Kyle Patrick-Sean Massengale, Katriscia Massengale, Christopher Cagle, Zachary Cagle and Amber Massengale, all of Rossville; several great-grandchildren; two nieces, Teresa Menendez and Pam Rediker, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and one nephew, Eric Thomas, of Jackson, Tenn.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Bobby Prueitt and Rev. Michael James Lowery officiating.Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends after 5 p.m. today and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
