Cynthia Hazelrig

Cynthia Blackwell Hazelrig, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 in a local hospital. She was formerly employed by Erlanger Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Lee Blackwell, Sr. Survivors include her husband, Rickey Hazelrig; son, Nicholas Hazelrig, of Chattanooga; daughter, Carmen Michelle Drake (Patrick) Ellis, of Houston, TX; mother, Louise Blackwell; brothers, Victor Blackwell, Johnny (LaSharron) Blackwell, Jr., Ronald Blackwell, and Antonio Blackwell; sister, Angela Blackwell; uncle, David Blackwell; aunts, Loretta Hill, Patricia Blackwell, Mary Favors, and Mildred Jones all of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held today at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Melvin Tibbs as the eulogist.
