Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Corbett Evans, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was born March 4, 1928 in Greene County, Ark., daughter of the late Bert Anderson and Virginia Alice (Cook) Corbett.Mary Beth was a member of Highland Plaza United Methodist Church and loved to travel, sew, and be with her family.Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward John David "J.D." Evans.Mary Beth is survived by her two daughters, Johnnie (Milan) Hill and Berta (Dave) Davidson; a son, David (Janice) Evans, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private family graveside memorial service will be held today at Hamilton Memorial North Cemetery, with Dr. David McNabb officiating.
