Albra Monday

SPRING CITY Albra E. Monday, 92, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at the Spring City Care and Rehab Center.A lifetime resident of Spring City, Albra was the daughter of the late Hugh and Fannie Belle Mitchell Evans. She was a graduate of Cumberland County High School and also attended business school in Chattanooga. Albra was a homemaker and a member of Dogwood Baptist Church in Grandview.She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Monday Sr.; son, Wendell Monday; daughter, Wanda Monday; brothers, Thomas, Verlin, Beecher and Willard Evans; and sisters, Molly Loden, Linus DeRossett and Elsie Mitchell.Survivors include her daughters Marjorie Zimmerman and Linda (Lloyd) Wright, both of Spring City; sons, Paul Monday Jr., of Harriman, Tenn., and Hugh (Donna) Monday, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Monday, Shirley Monday and Betty (Charles) Dye, all of Grandview and Hazel Monday, of Spring City; brother-in-law, Dallas DeRossett of Hendersonville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Dye officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt Zion Cemetery in Grandview. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
