RINGGOLD Jessy James "J.J." Johnson, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. Mr. Johnson had been a member of New Liberty Baptist Church for the past 57 years and served as an Usher for many years. He retired from Roadway after several years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, R. C. and Mary Johnson; wife, Margie Johnson; daughter, Cathy Johnson; and dear friend, Eula Kaylor.Survivors are son-in-law, Joe Watson, Ringgold; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Doris Johnson, Chickamauga, Dennis and Mary Johnson, Ringgold; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Ben Jones, Ringgold.; grandson, Nicholas Hill.Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Langston and Rev. Danny Henson officiating.
