SPRING CITY Alveta M. Walker, 82, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at the Life Care Center of Rhea County.A lifetime resident of Spring City, Alveta was the daughter of the late John and Dulcey Miller Marler. She and her late husband, Perry, owned and operated Walkers Plumbing. Alveta was a member of Central Baptist Church in Spring City.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Perry Walker; sister, Shelva Jean Skoguland; and brother, John B. Marler.Survivors include her nephew, Dennis Shelton of Florida.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev.
