Evelyn Jarnagin

CHICKAMAUGA Evelyn "Joyce" McGregor Jarnagin, 79, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012. She was a resident of Chickamauga for the past 39 years, and was a member of Carpenters Cowboy Church, Chattanooga. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her husband and sweetheart, Ralph Jarnagin; and parents, William and Louise Hixon McGregor.Joyce is survived by her daughters, Tammy Johnson and Crystal Puryear both of Chickamauga; 3 step-sons; sister, Patricia Lane, of Chickamauga; 3 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, and prior to the service on Monday. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
