Edith Middleton

TUNNELHILL Anna Edith Landen Middleton, 96, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of the Tunnel Hill area. Born to the late Ray and Hattie Smith Landen, Edith was a founding member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where she faithfully attended all her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Altman Middleton; son, Douglas Middleton and brother, Ed C. Landen. She is survived by her daughter, Reba Parsons, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; sister, Tommie Landen Davis, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; two grandchildren, Tim (Pam) Nunnelly and Andy Middleton; two great granddaughters, Lauren and Halie Nunnelly; one great great grandson, Braylon Bryant and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Pine Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Gordy Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 3-8 p.m. and Sunday until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Georgia.
