Glenda Gass

Glenda "Sue" Skelf Gass went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Dec. 22,2012. She was born on May 21, 1951 She was a resident of Chattanooga and graduated from Kirkman High School.She was a member of 46th Street Church of God. She was previously employed with Conagra and Hamilton Co. School System Busses. Sue was a very caring and giving person. She took every opportunity she could to tell about Jesus to all she met. Sue not only accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, but also made Him the Lord of her life. Her greatest desire in life was that all people accept Jesus as their Lord and personal Savior. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.She was predeceased by sons Barry Johnson, Little Joe Gass; granddaughter Bethany Angel Johnson-Gass; parents Hazel and Robert Skelf Sr.; and loving husband Dewey Gass.Survivors include son Larry (Sabrina) Johnson-Gass, of Pikeville, Tenn.; daughters, Deborah Lynn (Bill) Darst and Velvet Denise (Bobby Ray) Brownfield, all of Pisgah, Ala.; five grandchildren, Tony, Bryan, Starla and Chris Johnson-Gass and William Allen Darst and special friends Joyce Cowman, Pastor Iris Johnson; brothers and sisters Joyce (Danny) Sweeton, Larry (Debbie) Skelf, Robert (Ela) Skelf Jr. and Francis "Sissy" (Charles) Scruggs and several nieces and nephews.Pastor Iris Johnson will conduct a memorial service today, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. in 46th Street Church of God.
