Sam Kitchen

Sam D. Kitchen, of Chattanooga went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Christian faith. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.He was preceded in death by his parents, James Kitchen and Eula Bailey Goins; daughter, Sharon "Shari" Lankford Spurlock and several brothers and sisters.Survivors include his wife, Ethel Kitchen, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three children, James Kitchen, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Ronnie Kitchen, of Ringgold, Ga., and Cathy Horton Higdon, of Wildwood, Ga.; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at the Miracle Lighthouse Church in Chattanooga, TN. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.There will be no visitation at the funeral home.Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
