WHITWELL Lenos Layne Jordan, 81, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012.She was a faithful member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church, where she taught adult Sunday School for over 20 years. She was a faithful wife, wonderful mother, dedicated Christian and loving grandmother.She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Katie Layne; husband, James "J.K." Jordan; siblings, Thomas, Solan, Jim, Arlo, and Otto Layne, Geneva Grant, Shirley Condra and Teresa Farris.Mrs. Jordan is survived by her son, Lamarr (Beth) Jordan, South Pittsburg; daughter, Kelly (Jason) Evans, Jasper; sister, Dean (Bill) Fine, Whitwell; granddaughters, Jordan McDowell and Caity Phillips; grandsons, Darr (Angel) Kelly and Lucas Jordan; great-grandson, McCree Kelly and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 pm CST, on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, with Rev. Cecil Baxter and Rev. Bryan Wyke officiating.Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.Nephews will serve as pallbearers, with The Sarah class from Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church serving as honorary pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 2 until 9 p.m. CST today, Feb. 1, 2012 and from noon until time of the service on Thursday.
