Lyn Mize

Lyn Marshall Mize, 68, of Ooltewah, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Tweet" Mize and Pauline Lowe; stepfather, Marvin Dooley Lowe. Lyn was a Sales Coordinator for Astec Industries Inc. for 17 years. He was founder of Meat In Due Season Ministries, a Christian ministry devoted to the teaching deeper Biblical truths. He was the author of "The Open Door" and numerous articles about kingdom truths on his website www.ffruits.org. Surviving relatives: wife, Barbara Caines Mize;. sons, Stephan (Nancy) Mize and Derek (Dixie) Mize, all of Ooltewah, Tenn.; brother, Erbie Gail (Ann) Mize, of East Ridge, Tenn.; His grandchildren are Michael Cusworth, Chelsea Mize, Chandler Mize, Lacey Mize and Lynnly Mize, but he was known to many and loved by all, as "Papa".Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tracey Daniels officiating.
