RINGGOLD Harvey Eugene Adams passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.He first acknowledged Christ at Shiloh Baptist Church in Ringgold, (Burning Bush Community) where he later became a Deacon.He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Flora Adams, four sisters and seven brothers.He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife of 50 golden years, Helen Adamson Adams; four devoted daughters were born to this union, Sharon Adams, of Ringgold, Vanessa Adams (Brian) Keith, of Snellville, Ga., Valeria Adams (Eric) Coney, and Rhonda Adams (Dave) Sixto, of Ringgold. Harvey was affectionately called "Pop" by his daughters. He is also survived by nine grandchildren who adored him and will miss him dearly, Briana, Mikaela, Jessica Keith, Morissa, Richmond and Jevon Coney, Nadia, Ezra and Levi Sixto; plus his granddog, Ginger, who always wanted to be by his side. Sisters, Mary Elizbeth "Betty" Smith, Lula M. Wheeler, both of Chattanooga; brothers, Mose Charles (Mary Ella) Adams, of Ringgold, Walter Leroy (Eva) Adams, of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in- law, brothers-in-law and friends.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 7611 Nashville St., Ringgold, with Minister Shirley Adamson Joiner and other Ministers officiating.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4- 6 p.m. today.Interment in Ringgold Community Cemetery.Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton, Website: www.willisfuneralhomedalton.com.
