Michael Massey

Michael W. "Mike" Massey, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012.He was born in Jackson, Tenn., the son of the late Harl and Katherine Massey. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1957 and he was a graduate of Lambuth University. Michael was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and the Senior Mens Class taught by Alvin Stephenson. He enjoyed being part of the Ooltewah "Hardees" group which met for breakfast on a regular basis. He retired from the Transportation Division at Sather Candy Packaging Co.Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Louise Massey; son, Jon (Stephanie) Massey, of Apison, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Taylor Massey and Austin Massey.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, Jan. 25, 2012, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Walliser, Dr. Billy Williams, Rev. Eddie Wilson and Rev.
