Myrtle Ann "Peggy" DeVaughn, 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at a local healthcare facility."Peggy" worked as a Meter Maid for the city of Chattanooga.She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Flora Hill; husband, Charles DeVaughn; brothers, Franklin and Robert Hill; sisters, Gladys Clark and Alfreda McMillan.Peggy is survived by her sons, Ronald (Verdell), of Ontario, Calif., Arden "Tony", of Knoxville and Mark DeVaughn, of Chattanooga; daughter, Karen DeVaughn Tillison, of Chattanooga; brothers, Billy (Verna), of Huntsville, Ala., and Eddie (Yvonne) Hill, of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; best friend, Jacqueline Bradley.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Orchard Park SDA Church with Dr. Roland J. Hill and others officiating.Interment in National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
