LaDon Shipp

LaDon Shipp, 91, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his residence.Mr. Shipp served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of WWII, and was the Owner of the Gulf Service Station in Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., for many years.He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Dixon Shipp; parents, Charlie and Cora Shipp; brother, J.W. Shipp, and sister, Winona Bledsoe.Mr. Shipp is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Doyle) Thomas; grandchildren, Heather (Doug) Stanley, of Ringgold; Dwight (Leah) Thomas, of Atlanta, Ga.; 2 great-grandchildren, Maze Ruth Thomas and Bowen Thomas.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 10, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.Visit www.heritagefh.com to send condolences.Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E.
