Myra Eaker

Myra LonL Lovell Eaker, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with her Saviour on Saturday, July 7, 2012, as a result of a tragic vehicle accident.Myra was born Oct. 16, 1937, in Scottsboro, Ala., to Lillie Mae and Lonny Franklin Lovell. She grew up in Chattanooga attending Chattanooga High School. She moved to Southern Cook County, Ill., where she was employed by Western Tire and Auto as credit manager. Upon the stores relocation she went to work for S&K Management where she operated a total of two McDonalds restaurants. McDonalds Corporation rewarded her with multiple citations recognizing her for outstanding management skills and operating efficiency and quality.She retired in 1998 and moved to Soddy-Daisy where she continued to work part time at the local Bi-Lo supermarket. She and her family attended Daisy United Methodist Church where she taught the "Good News" Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.Myra is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph C. Eaker; four children, Rhonda J. (John) Sebock, of Westminster, Colo., Joseph C. (Lynne) Eaker Jr., of South Holland, Ill., Lonny A. (Kyong Nam) Eaker, of Soddy-Daisy, Scott M. (Jill) Eaker, of Soddy-Daisy; five grandchildren, Christina R. (Aaron) Cardinale, of Erie, Colo., April C. Eaker and Elizabeth J. Eaker, both of Soddy-Daisy, Megan Ann and Zachary Scott Eakers, both of Crestwood, Ill.; great-grandson, Dominick J.Cardinale, of Erie, Colo.; sister-in-law, Patricia Eaker and nephew, Thomas A. Eaker, of Chattanooga, plus hundreds of friends.Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Daisy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Jones officiating.Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Daisy United Methodist Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
