Willene Waddell

Rosa Willene Waddell, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012.Willene was born and raised in Chavies, Ala., before moving to Chattanooga in 1952, where she and her husband owned and operated W & W Food Market for several years. She later retired from Red Food Stores and Bi-Lo after many years of service. She was a lifelong member of Nazareth Baptist Church in Rainsville, Ala.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Besides God, her family was the most important part of her life. She made many sacrifices for her family and friends and will be truly missed.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles Went Waddell; parents, Alvin and Lois Dawson; sister, Ruby Waddell; brother, Bethel Dawson; and granddaughter, Kristy Vaughn Johnson.Survivors include her children, Rickey Waddell (Rita), Ronnie Waddell (Elaine), Wanda Vaughn (Mickey), Cathy Williams (Jerry); grandchildren, Chuck Waddell (Tonya), Missy Hale (Stewart), Kelly Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Rusty, Jesse, Austin, Casey Johnson, Layla and Lexie Vaughn, Bailey Kincer, Morgan and Katie Waddell; great-great-grandson, Braylen Johnson; brother, Austin Dawson; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 18, at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the funeral home with Jeanette Hixon officiating.Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. CDT on Thursday at Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery (Warrens Graveyard), (800 County Road 72, Rainsville, AL 35986).Please share your condolences at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S.
