DUNLAP Tommy "Tom" Cooley, 61, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at his home.He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Cooley; stepfather, John Paul Ashley; brother, Leon Cooley; and sisters, Mary K. Brown and Betty Hutson.Survivors include his loving companion of 18 years, Dorothy Barbee, Dunlap; mother, Dorothy Ashley, Dunlap; son, Tommy (Ann) Cooley, Summerville, Ga.; daughters, Tonya (David) Powell and Sonya Pascoe, both of Dunlap; two sisters, Susie (Clyde) Johnson, Dunlap, Linda Faye (Bruce) Dobbins, Rossville; two brothers, Ed Cooley, Dunlap, Larry (Cindy) Ashley, Soddy-Daisy; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Friday, July 20, 2012 in the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lanny Tate officiating.Burial will follow in Shubird cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2- 8 p.m. today.The Cooley family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Chattanooga and all their friends and neighbors.Arrangements by Ewton Funeral Home, 6936 Highway 28, Dunlap, TN 37327.www.ewtonfuneralhome.com (423-949-2112).
