Ida Strickland

Ida Richards Strickland, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at a local hospital.She grew up in St. Elmo, attended Calvin Donaldson School and graduated from Howard High School in 1959. She was retired from Dixie Yarns after 35 years of service.Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Carl B. and Susie Cathey Woods.Survivors are her children, Gregory (Angela), Kathy and Felicia Strickland; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian Richards Talley; nieces, nephews and cousins.Visitation may begin at 1 p.m. today, July 25, at Trammell Chapel, Hardwick and Sons Funeral Home.Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Forest Hill Cemetery with Minister George Woodruff officiating.Arrangements by Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home.
