Anthony Kyles

Anthony "Red" Kyles, 61, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012.He was born on May 29, 1951 in Chattanooga, to Marie and Edward Kyles who preceded him in death. Also, preceding him in death are his brothers, James Ice and Bruce Kyles.He graduated from Howard high School in the Class of 1970. He was in the United States Army and served time in Korea. After which he returned home and married Patricia Horton and stayed married for 22 years.He worked for TVA Nuclear Plant for several years. Then he relocated to Georgia and worked for the state of Georgia, traveling around the world to many places.He recently joined Woodland Baptist Church where Pastor Larry Frick is pastor. He always was able to bring joy and laughter to the life of others and anyone he me.Survivors include his ex-wife, Patricia Pitts; brothers, Daniel Ice, Gregory (Janet) Kyles; children, Monica Kyles, Tiffany Kyles, Shannon Kyles, Jeremy Kyles and Terrance (Nicole) Burts; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends; and a special friend, Christmas Ratcliff. He will be loved and missed now he has gone home to rest.Funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, in the chapel with Ministers Jerry Hannah and George Woodruff officiating.Interment in National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today with the family receiving friends from 68 p.m. today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423-622-9995.
