Constance Morello Carson, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in a local hospital. She retired from the Washington D.C. Police Department as a Mother Patrol. Survivors include her sons, Stephen (Sandra) Carson, of Chattanooga, Paul Carson, of Baltimore, Md., Ira Carson, of Anchorage, Alaska and Christopher Sims, of Washington, D.C.; daughters, Janet (Henry) Holman, of Spring Lake, N.C., Carrie Thompson, of Washington, D.C. and Juanita Irving, of Alexandria, Va.; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin (Diane) Eberhart, of Chattanooga; sisters, Jessie Phillips and Colleen Gavros both, of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. The body will lie-in-state today after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday July 30 at noon in the chapel with Pastor Rosena Billingsley as the eulogist. Burial: Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
