Mary Rockholt

FORTOGLETHORPE Mary Gray Rockholt, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 27, 2012. She had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of her life and was a member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church. She was very active with her Sunday School Class and served as the Treasurer for many years and was previously employed with Lovemans for more than 30 years. She was also a member of the Red Hatters Club and was a loving and devoted mother, wife and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her.She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Louise Bryant; first husband, Charles Gray; second husband, Walter Rockholt and brothers, Hobert Johnson, Homer Johnson, Jim McClure, Bill Bryant and John Bryant.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and (Charles) McRae, of LaFayette, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and (Elsie) Bryant, of Kentucky; two granddaughters, Crystal and (Joey) Hale and Tara McRae; three great-grandchildren, Destiny McRae, Emma Melton and Alyssa Melton and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 30, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens. The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. today and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.Arrangements by W. L.
