Hixson, 86, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Virginia Beach, Va.A resident of Chesapeake Va., formerly of Dayton, Tenn., of the Baptist faith.Preceded in death, parents, Mead Hammond and Smith Martin Hammond; husband, Claude A. Hixson Jr.; 1 sister, Annie Cooper; 2 Brothers, Merle Ellis and David Hammond.Survivors, daughter, Claudia(Frank) Hamrock, of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; two step-sons, Bill Hixson, of Dayton, Jim Hixson, of Hixson, Tenn.; 2 grandchildren, Jordan Elizabeth Hill, Frankie Andrew Hamrock; 5 step-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.Funeral services, Tuesday June 5, at 2 p.m., graveside, with Rev. John B.
