Gene Satterfield

PORT ORANGE, Fla. Gene Thomas Satterfield, 68, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 in a local hospital.He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Satterfield grew up in Chattanooga and was a graduate of Tyner High School Class of 1962 and a graduate of Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tenn. Mr. Satterfield was a son of the late Andrew "Red" and Nola Williams Satterfield. He was retired from the Air Line Industry after 30 years of service. Mr. Satterfield was preceded in death by his sister, June Vandergriff.Survivors are sister, Mona ONeal, Fort Oglethorpe; nieces, Beth Cox, Chattanooga, Nancy Poole, Richmond, Va., Sharon Galpin, Cumming, Ga.; nephews, Brian Thomason, Canton, Ga., Tommy Colston, Burleson, Texas; and several great-nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
