Sophon Sao, 59, of East Ridge, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, in a local healthcare facility.He was preceded in death by his parents, Chin Sao and Reoum Sao and he was of the Buddist faith.Survivors include his wife, Sat Ieng Sao; children, Toney Sao and Veyna Sao; sister, Leang Sao; brother-in-law, Sothea Ieng; niece, Kase Ieng; brothers-in-law, Sotheun Ieng, Sothy Ieng and Tony Inthavilaysuk; sisters-in-law, Sophy Luy, Anh-Lan Tran and Sophary Ieng-Inthavilaysuk; and several nieces and nephews.To send condolences you may visit www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, June 23, 2012 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. today until funeral time in the funeral home.Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
