Rosa Byrd

RINGGOLD Rosa Lee Hullender Byrd, 87, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of Ringgold and was of the Baptist Faith. Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Sidney Byrd; parents, Henry and Annie Roberson Hullender; son, Gary Byrd; and siblings, Bud, John, Earl, Shirley, Ruby, J.P., and Pearl.She is survived by her children, Jerry Byrd, Donnie Byrd, Ronnie Byrd, and Sara Jo "Jody" Collins (Charles), all of Ringgold; sisters, Maxine, Myrtle, and Mural; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.A family celebration of her life will be held in the funeral home parlor on Monday at 11 a.m. prior to leaving for the cemetery. The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. today and prior to the service on Monday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-Wallis-Stewart Chapel.
