Myree "Myra Jo Smith" Ervin, of Ypsilanti, Mich., 66, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2012, after a lengthy illness.She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Fannie Smith; son, Johnny Starr Jr.; brother, John "Smokey" Smith; sister, Jannie "Pee Wee" McCollum; and nephew, Lydell Smith.She leaves to mourn her passing: husband, Spencer Ervin; son, Gary (Nancy) Few, of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter, Tracy Starr; granddaughter, Jamie Starr; sisters, Laura Whitaker and Doris McCartherens; nieces, Regina Whitaker, Kiva (Stanley) McKenzie, Oneka Stargin, Carla Smith and Darlene Smith; great-nieces, Shamika Toney, Monique Ruffin, Okemia Jones; nephews, Leslie McCollum, all of Chattanooga and Cedric (Kim) McCartherens, of Maricopa, Ariz.Funeral services will be today at Brown Chapel AME Church, 1043 West Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, MI 48197.Arrangements are by Stark Funeral Home-Moore Memorial Chapel, 101 S.
