Millie Wellen

Millie B. Wellen, 94, died March 24, 2012, at Alexian Village's Health and Rehabilitation Center on Signal Mountain. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard C. Williams; her second husband, James E. Wellen; and her two brothers, Robert F. Coulter and Henry B. Coulter. Born Sept. 2, 1917, in Marie, W.Va., Millie moved to Tiffin, Ohio, where she received a business degree from Tiffin University. She lived in West Palm Beach, Fla., where she worked for 30 years as an office manager for a mill working company. She retired to South Hill, Va., and later to Vero Beach, Fla., before moving to Alexian Village in 2005.Millie is survived by her son, Greg Williams; her daughter-in-law, Marybeth Williams; and her granddaughter, Zoe Williams; all from Signal Mountain. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Mary A. Coulter from Virginia Beach, Va.; her nephew, James B. (Marilyn) Wilson from Tiffin, Ohio; and her niece, Betty Sue (John) McGregor from Virginia Beach, Va.; Interment will be at her family's burial site at Restwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hinton, W.Va.
