Raymond Bolles

CROSSVILLE Raymond Gray Bolles, 80, died on Monday, May 7, 2012, at Standing Stone Care & Rehab Center in Monterey, Tenn.Born Saturday, Aug. 29, 1931 in Hartford, Conn., he was the son of the late Raymond Gray and Mary Mather Bolles Sr. He was the husband of Shirley Brown Bolles. He had a rich and varied business career starting with the BF Goodrich Co., then on to the Hickory Chair Co., followed with the ownership of The Ray Bolles Co. in Cleveland, Tenn., a foam fabricator for furniture manufacturing and finally establishing, along with his sons, a successful Porta Pottie business in Chattanooga.In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Lee Bolles and wife, Kay, Steve and Rick Bolles, all of Chattanooga. Also a stepson and wife, Brad and Carol Miller, of Canton, Ga. Also he leaves six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bertha Bray.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a stepson, Jeff Miller.The family received friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, May 11, in the Chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with funeral service following at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Brother Steve Looper officiating.The family reguests that memorials be made to either the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Tennessee, Inc.Bilbrey Funeral Home Inc. in charge of arrangements.
