Betty CarnesBetty June Carnes, 80, of Hixson went to be with her Heavenly Father, Friday May 11, 2012. Betty was preceded in death by parents Alton and Ola Campbell and three brothers Walker, Ben and Jack Campbell. (Granbetty) was a wonderful helpmate to her husband Charlie. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a wonderful example of a Godly woman that was an example to everyone she crossed paths with. We know that the Angels rejoice over her arrival in Heaven. She was a Christian who worshiped at Red Bank Church of Christ.Survivors, Husband, Charles A. Carnes; Daughter, Jennie (Steve) Carnes Berry, of Chattanooga; Two sons, Jeff (Annette) Carnes of Gallatin, Tenn. and Gregory (Jan) Carnes of Florence, Ala.; Seven grandchildren, Micah (Trent) Mynatt, Meredith Berry and Taylor Berry, all of Chattanooga, Kaitlin (Jared) Carlson, Birmingham, Ala.; Ben Carnes, Florence, Ala.; Will Carnes and Clay Carnes both of Gallatin, Tenn; Several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousinsFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Red Bank Church of Christ with Ministers Steve Lusk and Tommy Stone officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
