George Cameron

George Edmond Cameron, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012.He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. George worked for many years selling newspapers for the Chattanooga Times Free Press and was a loving brother, who will be greatly missed.George was preceded in death by his parents, George Leslie and Mary Augusta Hibdon Cameron.He is survived by his siblings, Diane Cameron, of Chattanooga, Elaine Payne, of Chattanooga, Georgiana Morgan, of Ringgold, and Harry Clay Cameron, of Chattanooga; five nieces; a great-niece; four nephews; four great-nephews; and a special cousin, Gary Harris.The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, at Gateway Baptist Church, with Brother Jack Key officiating.Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today, all day Sunday, and prior to leaving for the church on Monday.The body will lie in state at the church from noon until service time.Arrangements by W.L.
