Darrel Boyd

Darrel E. Boyd, 54, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, May 21, 2012, at an Atlanta health care facility.Darrel was born to the late James Arthur Boyd Sr. and Thelma Louise Boyd on Feb. 13, 1958 in Tallahassee, Fla. He received his education from the Hamilton County Public Schools and was a graduate of Howard High School.He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Doris Thomas Smith and Patricia Boyd; and brother, James Boyd Jr.He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Wanda Boyd; daughter, Alicia Clark; stepson, Waylan Clark, all of Atlanta; sisters, Bessie Montgomery and Irene (Curtis) Trammell, both of Chattanooga; nieces, Mary Thomas, Tracy (Don) Searcy, both of Atlanta, Anita Boyd, Mesha (Charles) Green, both of Chattanooga; nephews, Rawn (Germaine) Boyd, Curtis (Mary)Trammell Jr., both of Atlanta Kendall Boyd, of Norfolk VA., Calvin (Felecia) Montgomery, of Florence S.C.; 24 great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, dedicated friend and "brother" Willie "Splo"(Nancy) Montgomery and a host of friends and loved ones.A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 24, in Atlanta.
