CHICKAMAUGA Harold Franklin Blakemore, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.He had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of his life and was a member of Peach Orchard Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and retired from Corley Manufacturing in 1994 after more than 36 years as a Machinist. He was a member of Crawfish Springs Masonic Lodge #300 F&AM and was active in helping disabled children with the Shriners and St. Judes associations.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Gladys Blakemore; and sister, Barbara Phillips.Survivors include his loving wife of more than 60 years, Juanita Blakemore, of Chickamauga; two sons and daughters, Ronnie Lynn (Monetta) Blakemore and Billy Wayne (Vickie) Blakemore; brother, James "Buddy" Blakemore, all of Rossville; two sisters and brothers-in law, Delores Shaw (Robert) McMinn of Chattanooga and Jean (Kenneth) Maynor, of Fort Oglethorpe; four grandchildren, Donnie Blakemore, Chasta Cagle, Kelly Lynn Blakemore and Denise Hargis; four great-grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Blakemore, Billy Wayne Blakemore, McKenzie Cagle and Blake Cagle; two great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Dada Conley and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. James Davis and Rev. David Harris officiating.Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with a Masonic Service.
